Dear SiLA friends and members
In accordance with the bylaws, the SiLA consortium plans to ballot its members for approval of the SiLA 2 standard.
You have seen the SiLA 2 release candidate of the standard (released August 2018) along with some example code.
Please note that the reference implementation and the example code are not part of the standard, but maintained by the SiLA organization.
Work on the standard continues on specific areas via the working groups which you are free to join.
We plan to make stable release available end of Q1/2019 with the aim to seek final approval at the General Assembly in May 2019. Although voting rights are limited to SiLA’s Core and Supporting Members, we cordially invite all SiLA members, including Personal Members to give their opinion on the Release Candidate so that your valuable comments can be considered for the official Release.
We intend to follow a lean process and ask you to fill in the online form by February 20th, 2019.
Note that this form includes a question on training preferences, as well as space for your comments
